The 2012 TrailRunner Magazine Trophy Series! Presented by GoreTex, this series includes four trail challenges that will take you above the clouds:

The Tiadaghton Spring Trail Challenge Half Marathon - Third year event hosted by PaRunners. This is a great course with technical sections (rocks), climbs and drops. Hopefully there is still some snow on the ground. Get this on your calendar to kick off your 2011 Trail Season. Great support on the course. Awesome food afterwards. Goody bags full of stuff you won't throw away. March 31, 2012

The Hyner View 25k Trail Challenge and 50k Ultra - Hhosted by the PA Trail Dogs. The scenic Hyner View makes the 4200+ ft. of elevation gain well worth the effort, and new for 2012 is the 50k Ultra - the longest race in our series! April 21, 2012

The Rothrock 30k Challenge - Another great PA Trail Dogs event. The 5000+ ft. of elevation gain will numb the legs, and the scenery, fellowship, and feast afterward are well-deserved rewards! June 2, 2012

Dam Half - Dam Full September 16, 2012 - Join the MidPenn Trailblazers on your choice of a Half or Full marathon on the trails of RB Winter State Park. It's not every day you can climb the Stairway to Heaven!

Trail Races in addition to the trophy series:

The Bald Eagle Mountain MegaTransect - Registration opens January 1, 2012 - Hosted by the Western Clinton County Sportsmen's Association, this is the 26 mile granddaddy. There's a reason this one sells out in a few days - it's an experience you'll never forget. In addition to brutal weather, 2011 added 1,000 ft of elevation gain to just under 6,000 ft! The Tiadaghton Fall Trail Challenge Half Marathon - This is the same great course as the spring event, run in reverse. October 28, 2012
